Corporate Accountability App

It would be nice to be able to scan a barcode on a product and see information on the behavior of the corporation that produces it. Things like total CEO compensation, salary of lowest paid full time employee, total profits, taxes paid, donations to political parties, number of lobbyists employed.

        All UPC barcodes are comprised in three parts, the company code, the product number (SKU), and a check digit.

        The first five numbers are the company code registered with the UCC. If you could obtain access to that database, you could create and API linking to their website or user-provided-content database.
